Thailand 12/2004
In December 2004 I took a week and a half trip to Thailand. It was a major challange for me since It was significantly less developed than Europe, and I went completely by myself. It all turned out well, I didn't catch bird flu, and I had a great time. Now I feel a lot more confidant about taking a trip on my own. There were three basic phases to my trip. Phase one was Bangkok, phase two was Chiang Mai, and phase three was the beach at Jomtien. Much as I would have loved to get to Phuket, the travel time would have made it a lot more difficult to fit in. I left Thailand approximately ten days before the tsunami that devastated Phuket.
